Documentation on HDS 7700E gives guidlines on maintaining a standby database at a remote site (all the usual stuff) with additional feature of mirroring the on_line redo logs
HDS write up of failover to standby database is not clear on how the (outstanding) mirror of on-line redo is applied to standby database.
Oracle write-ups seem to suggest that the on-line logs cannot be used to recover the standby database.
Has anyone actually done this?
