I've currently got a mirror setup that replicates our live SQL db to a disaster recovery site. This has been setup now for probably two years.

I'm going back through my notes, and I can't for the life of me find the information for making the db failover properly.

Say my live DB goes down. Can someone help me remember what it is I do exactly to make the mirror server become active and usable once it's in the disconnected state?

Jay, thanks for the link.. see that link talks about failing over the mirror manually when you have access to the Principal server. But what if I don't have access to the principal, what if that server burns down and is not accessible, how can failover the to the mirror from the mirror server?
