I have 3 disk drives(hdisk2, 3 and 4) each is 2.1GB and I also have one drive (hdisk5) that is 6.4GB. Is it ok to mirror the three 2.1gb drives to the one 6.4gb drive. All drives are in the same VG.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Witt,

As far as I remember mirroring is done at logical volume level rather than at a VG level -- so Yes I think. Yes, Mike is right, mirroring is done at the LV level and you can specify the target disk in SMIT when doing the mklvcopy. New with 4.3.2 (I think) is the mkvgcopy that allows mirroring an entire VG. You may want to check that out also. [sig]
Doug Tyre

<a href= Information Systems Institute (at UM)
[/sig]
