Mirror Drives

Can Linux mirror IDE drives, and how do you do it.

Can it be done on the same channel?
Can it be done on the different channels?

Should be no problem to mirror IDE drives, since Linux supports software RAID. I've never messed with it, though. Try searching the Howtos at

Another question, I'm running a 200mhz compaq with RHlinux6

I have a netgear ea201 nic off a terayon cable modem, (Dhcp)
I cant get the eth0 to take an ip address and my floppy won't mount,

PS, how do I put in a host name, and what is NIS when I install.
