Mirror DB2 database's on AIX5.1

Hello,

Please could some help me here, I am intending to have the current production system running AIX5.1 DB2 v7 mirror to a seprate hard disks. It is fairly large over 120Gb and if I start the mirroring how long will it take to syncronise and will it impact the performance, we have a 4 1.2G CPU with 10G of Memory and SSA disks.
Any help will be appreciated.
