Hi, hopefully someone can help me with this. We're developing an application that ties into our Micros db through the use of ODBC. The question that I have is how does Micros handle voids, comps, or error corrections. It seems that our data doesn't quite match the Daily System Menu Item Sales Summary.

The best place to start is going to be with the Reports manual installed with the system (3700POSRpts_man.pdf). The Sales Profiles section should clear up how certain figures are calculated.

If your intent is to match the Daily System Menu Item Sales Summary, then you should start with this report and the manual will tell you which views and stored procedures are used to create the report. You can then base your application data off the same views/procedures.

MICROS also provides a data dictionary with every table, view, and stored procedure described. Look for the SQL/Database Access manual. You can obtain detailed information for the views used to create the reports you are modeling.
