I installed microsip and setup my first ever generic sip account on the mitel icp 3300 as looking to get rid of our 5224 desk phones due to their age. Seems to work okay except I am periodically getting locked out, seems to be when I double click a number in the microsip log to redial it, but not always. The error in the mitel log:

672 2023/Feb/24 22:29:08 MOBILITY Hot Desk : 834 locked out
676 2023/Feb/24 22:44:08 MOBILITY Hot Desk : 834 unlocked by DISA TIMER timeout

What could be causing this and how can I stop it?

I am trying to do the same but with no luck at all. could you please share the Microsip settings? how did you connect to the mitel icp 3300? thanks.

In Mitel server gui add a device. In the service profile tab change the device type to "generic sip phone" service level full, in service details ensure the appropriate class of service and class of restriction and sip device capabilities option is selected. Sip capabilities refers to what is set in system properties, system feature settings, sip device capabilities.

On the devices access and authentication set the pins / password.

In microsip add an account and in account settings

Account name:whatever
sipserver: ip of mitel server
sip proxty: mine is blank
username: ext of the sip device
domain: ip of mitel server
login: ext of sip device
password: pin you set on the generic sip device settings
Display name: whatever

Then should be good to go if your network is setup correctly, eg you can ping the mitel phones from your computer running microsip and get a response.

If you want to be able to do an attended/consult transfer set up a multi line key on the generic sip device with the extension of the sip device, no ring.

Please let us know if you have any success.

Wowww. you are a hero. I wasted three days to figure this out with no luck at all.
After I followed these instructions, I was successfully able to connect and ring from/to this SIP line.
But, there is no sound at all. I am not sure what could be the problem in this. Thank you very much

No sound probably network /firewall config. Possibly audio device settings in microsip. Could also be a codecs issue but mine worked with no codec changes.

When you make a call and pick it up, do you get a green or red, phone icon in the bottom left of microsip?

My problem was one way audio and I was getting a red icon, it turned out that the mitel server was not giving the phones a gateway ip and hence they could not reach back to microsip running on my pc which is on a different vlan, once I added this to the DHCP option it fixed my issue after a phone reboot.

Thanks for your reply but still there is no sound at all.
I get a red icon when I pick up the call, I am not sure why?
So, I used a static IP address to avoid the DHCP, I opened the MicroSip in the firewall, and I added the whole list of the audio codec from the MicroSip and still no sound at all and still getting the red icon.
Is there any way to test what's going on? Thanks

I think the mitel server does not give the subntet and gateway as well. I added this to the DHCP but it does not work. May I ask you please how did you add this the DHCP? Thanks.
