Need a step by step process of adding a another number to my miran card in my option 11c. I have 1 number assigned currently (2000) that is working, I need to add another (2025).
Thanks in advance!

You need to be more specific, you don't add numbers to the Miran itself

Prt your current RAN route.

That 2000 DN that you have assigned.. is that 2000 the ACOD of the RAN route?

If so, create another RAN route identical to your current RAN route but change the ACOD to 2025.

Then build the Trunk to correspond to your annoucement number,

ie Trunk TN 52 0 0 5 =
Loop 52
Shelf 0
Card 0 = Your Miran Card
Unit 5 = the Announcement number in your Miran that you just created.

I currently have a single number which is 2000, when I call this number it goes straight to music (Miran Card). I need a step by step on how to configure another number like 2025 to do the same thing (go straight to music) I have very little experience on this system, Any help would be great! I's a Option 11C, small system for lab use!

Step by step is too long for this type of forum. Too many variables and too many questions still to be answered. My suggestion is to call your vendor and have them show you so you can take notes.

I agree, MIRAN programming is a whole different ballgame, best to get your vendor as Tnphoneman said

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

dn 2000 is the ACOD for rte 30 which is your music route. Prt rte 30 in ld 21, create a new route that looks like it, only change the acod to 2025. Then you need to build a new music trunk in LD14 and crossconnect it to your trunk card

I build another rte which is 31 with a acod of 2025. I prt the truk and have 4 music already, what do you mean by crossconnect? See Print out below!

At 1 time both 2000 and 2025 were getting to the music trunk???

I hate to say this, but if you don't know what a crossconnect is, you better get a Vendor to do this for you.

Your using multiple analog ports on a MIRAN card. Thats EXPENSIVE music.

I would move those routes to univ. trunk card and use the miran for what its meant for, Recorded Announcements.

I'm curious, u have 4 trunk members in your MUS route, do you have 256 mus licenses? And do you actually have 256 callers on hold in a given moment?

I'm fairly certian Succession 3.0 + use Broadcast music only allowing 64 simultaneous users to access a single MUS trunk.

As I have come to find out from the helpful members here...a bdct mus route allows up to 64 users if you have the music broadcast package. Add more routes for more users. If you don't have more than 64 on hold at one moment, it is pointless to do so. This doesn't use up a conference card.

A little MP3 player on a exut is a perfect solution for nice mus. Better than the elevator music loop that came on our MIRAN channel 0.

Believe it or not, our call center agents swear that their callers are less agitated now with the MP3s than with the former music...
