MiR not importing new employees, now throwing RIA alarms

MiR stopped importing new employees a couple weeks ago. Getting error:
During the execution of the job User Import of the job type THIRDPARTY_CONNECTOR the following error occurred. The job execution reports: "Import/Export - error while loading data."


Today, we're getting these alarms over and over every minute or two:
Service RIA is not available on server
Service RIA is available on server

I can't even imagine where to look. I can't even find what the RIA service is.

I'm still quite new to the MIR and would love to know how you have users imported automatically added to the MiR. Could you share that information please?

The RIA Service will be in the usual Services area within the Task Manager on the server. It writes to a log file found in the installation folder of the MiR program with the same name. You can open it in Baretail to monitor what it does when the job executes.
 
RIA is the main recording manager service. If that's throwing errors, you should probably get your support partner to look at it, and they may need to kick it up to Mitel support.
 
I wish I could share how the import works. We're only 15 months into this implementation and we're still learning something new every day. It's a steep learning curve.

Somehow it syncs using LDAP to Active Directory, but I couldn't tell you how it actually happens. The connection test works, nothing's blocked on our firewall and our network staff say they don't see any blocking.

We have our partner looking at it and they've escalated to Mitel. Hoping to have answers soon.

MIR is so painful a product we have started moving away from it .
ASC support isnt great either .
took ages to work out the creation of employees from LDAP
we ended up using XSLt files to search for particular AD attributes

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

 
We had lunch with our partner Friday and this was the exact message they shared.

Our LDAP sync was working until a few weeks ago.(for the most part, it did miss agents periodically with no indication why)
