I am exporting a table that has a field date.
The txt file that is produced has the minutes in the date.
I only wanted the date in the exported text file.
I tried doing it with a macro or right click on the table and selected the export option. I used the delimeter selection as I need the | separtor for this file. I looked in my computer settings also with no luck in getting rid of the minutes and seconds.

Can the group help me to figure this one out.

I do not want to search and replace in notepad as the file has 326527 lines . . . to big.

Thank you.

Hi,

May I ask what you are planning to do with a text file containing a third of a million lines?

Thank you Leslie for the recommendation...
It did not work.
I formated the date to short date in the query but in the delimeter I still see the date with minutes and seconds when I export the file.

very frustating. . .

Use the Format$ function in you query.

Hope This Helps, PH.
