I am totally new to Unix, and I was interested in installing Solaris for Intel. What are the minimum and recommended system requirements? I have a PII-233 with 128MB and 4GB of hard drive space....is this sufficient?

Thanks in advance,
Sean

Take a look here:

From personal experience - your system is fine. Also keep in mind - the MOST difficult device to configure is the video driver for X-Window. Make sure your video card is on the HCL.

Good luck.

I've got solaris 8 working on p166 32MB of RAM and 6GB HDD. I compensated less RAM with HD swapspace (ouch), but it's very stable (a little slow).
