Minimum/maximum RAM requirements. 1

I believe MS are officially saying 1GB minimum. But what would you folks here recommend. Also, what's the cut off point where any additional RAM becomes superfluous? 4GB?? Thanks as always

64-bit or 32-bit operating system? About 4GB has always been the 32-bit limit.

Some 64-bit can take as much as 192GB.

Either on 32-bit or 64-bit, 4GB is a nice starting point, perhaps even 8GB on 64-bit.

I ran the RC on my netbook, a Samsung NC10 with 1GB RAM, and it ran just fine with Aero glass and everything. So I'd say 1GB is definitely a usable minimum.

I ran the Rc too with a mere 768MB and it ran fine, of course Areo was being powered by the 256 MB Nvidia Video Card.

No sure how well it would run with 512MB though.

I have some VMs of it running w/ 512MB that get the job done. Wouldn't even consider less, though. My primary workstation runs with 4GB perfectly.
