Minimizing PS 6.01 and Hard Drive thrashing

Interesting thing I found that I could use some help on:
We want to minimize Photoshop. If we use the minimize (_) button on top right of the screen the hard drive will be at 100% usage (Thrash) for about 1 minute and you can't do anything until it finishes, but if you right-click on the task bar and choose "minimize all windows" it does not touch the hard drive???? Wierd Huh??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,
You could try it in safe mode or VGA mode which ever windows you are in or extentions off on a Mac.
Could be some type of driver conflict.
Let me know if this doesn't work. I will look into other possible causes.

you might try turning down the memory usage setting. its in the preferences under the file menu. i dunno, though, it is pretty bizarre.
