I hope someone can be of assistance. Where running networker for solaris on a 3500. We've been asked to run daily full backups for 5 boxes with about 100GB of data on each. The file indexes get huge fast and the remove oldest cyle option takes forever going one at time through the volumes. Is there a way to leave say the 5 most recent cylces within each save set and trash everything else?

Please Advise,

Larry

This can tie up your indexes all day, so be careful when you run it. I would try it on a test client first to make sure it has the results you're looking for. Hope it helps!!

Run:

nsrim -b week -c <client name> **week should be a valid policy name
**that will convert any savesets older than
**1 week from browseable to recoverable

nsrck -F <client name> **that should compress the indexes
