Minimized don't disapear?

I have asked some really dumb questions and you have really helped out.

This one is more of an annoyance, when I close programs sometimes an empty box stays in the taskbar until I click on it, why does this happen?

It doesn't seem to be any one program or under any given situation.

Windows 98se.

Great question John ................., does it on my machine sometimes. Haven't got a clue why though. Never thought about it. SENILE.COM found... Out Of Memory...

Maybe .. if you right-click My Computer, select Properties, Performance, Graphics, and reduce the Hardware acceleration one point if it is at maximum .. ?
