I have a linux system consisting of 3 SCSI HDs. One of them
containing the /usr and /var partitions is bad. I can still
boot, and basically need to do a backup for /home.
So I need to ftp /home to another machnine. (ping works fine) However, ftp
needs files from /usr and so does not work outright. The question is, is what are the ftp dependencies, e.g
/usr/bin/ftp, /lib/libncurses.so.5 , GLIBC_xx.yy.zz
etc I need to copy to get ftp running and back up
my /home directory?
Thanks, svar
