Canadian Defence uses the deployed version on the 4.4 platform. They also use Remote access while deployed with consistent communications and Satalitte uplink.
They are considering moving to Ellipse 5+ in the near future.
I believe they use MX series for batch communications. But am not able to tell you 100%.
