Hi!
I hope its possible to do this in domino 6.5.
Our client wants the document entries (text), upon editing to change color to keep track of what has been entered earlier. Just like the track changes tool in MS Word, the behavior should be, that for every new entry in the field (on edit), the text color should change.
will permanent pen work on this?

Thanks!

Sorry to be blunt, but Notes is not Word.

Users can put text in color in RT fields, but there is no automatic color-based tracking scheme in R6.

I don't remember hearing anything about that in R7 either.

I understand. We found another way of addressing the client's need. I'll just create a script that will copy the contents of the document (on edit) and put it in a new container with version numbers. This way, the client will still be able to keep track of the changes applied to the document.
I just need to explain to the client what notes can and can not do.
Thank you! :)

You could activate versioning on the form - with the caveat that every single edit will create a new version AND your views will have to take that into account.

Pascal.
