MIME

Thanks in advance.

At the moment we are using uuencode to attach files to mails sent via sendmail.
The mail administrators have decided that they want to change things, and have asked us to send these mails using MIME. Can anyone shed some light, on how you would go about by configuring sendmail to use MIME.
Can sendmail handle MIME or do you need a bolt package like mpack?
Please help.

have a look for a tool called 'mpack' on the net, it has a corresponding 'munpack' as well.

it works easily enough for me.

sendmail handles MIME in the same way it handles UUE, i.e. it doesn't, it is all handled externally.
