got approval to do a slow migration..

basically will start using our Elastix Server to start being our PBX -
However can't migrate all at once and will have to do a slow migration...

Anyone have any experience figuring out changing the T1 interface from working with existing Brighthouse Gateway to work with a Digium G200 gateway?

Goal is have the Brighthouse Gateway land on port1 Digium and Merlin Legend 6.1 v11.1 on port2
and the Elastix will talk to the Digium over IP and SIP.

The Existing Legend uses primarily 100's for DID and extensions..

I want to have extension 1100's on new system and keep 100's on old and be able to transfer and do inter office calling old to new without issue.

- initially just doing a few phones then gradually changing phones over...

Anyone have an experience in doing this?

Really only talking about ~50 phones and not in any real hurry so a few phones a month really isn't too hard...

Owner didn't really care to do a complete change over though even though costs really weren't too high.

Phones that I keep physical will need to be gbit vs 10/100 - Most I'm hoping I'll be able to do headsets and softphones vs physical sets.

1st step was planning
need to locate what signaling is being used on the existing T1 card... how do I get that information from winspm using standard spm?

when I did print > PC the option was red and didn't allow the option.

Don't work with it often enough to know the easiest method to document the existing configuration of the T1 Card

not too bad
got G200 in line between ISP PRI and Magix System

setup some of the global rules to have traffic pass from Telco to Merlin and Merlin> Telco
currently working.

have added an asterisk pbx and have it connected via sip to G200 as well
odd thing is rule to get that making outbound calls - had to set SIP > Legend which then routes calls out to Telco Pri correctly

believe the problem might be that CPE and Network was reversed on Merlin and Gateway - matched on G200 to get working properly but might be the issue I'm seeing with the call routing for SIP to Telco.

Now I want to edit call routing rules - 4 digit 1000>1199 should go to new VoIP System via trunk in Merlin
how would I accomplish that if my current Merlin is 3 digit Extensions?

I can also use 3 digit extenstions just didn't know which ones were available?
