This weekend we're moving from our on premise Definity to a hosted platform. Our provider can't forward our PRI's to the hosted company in a manner that wouldn't disrupt business. They agreed to forward the main numbers we use, but the other DID's will still be coming into the definity system until the port on the 14th. Is there a way I can forward them manually in our Definity to point to the temporary numbers that our hosted provider has assigned?

Yeah. In the incoming call handling treatment table you can take incoming digits 1234 and route to 9-212-555-6789 if you make em 1 to 1 matches.

Unless you have some kind of network call redirection/2 b channel transfer or something - which is probably too late to set up now, you'll tie up a channel in and out for each call. But, doable.

Yeah, I think with the carrier forwarding the main phone numbers that are advertised, the remaining 300 or so will see a lot less traffic.

Do you know what the command is to change the incoming call handling treatment?

if its trunk 1, change inc trunk 1 or change trunk 1 depending on release

wanna make sure trk-to-trk xfer is on in system-paramters features, test it out.

Or, just give everyone call forward off net permissions in their class of service and tell em to callforward to their new number before you yank the sets off the desks :)

Trk-to-trk is set to all, but not sure how I want to key in the numbers on the "change incoming trunk" page.

We have 1 trunk (trunk 2) that handles all inbound calls. We already have some 4 digit entries that convert our public numbers to one operator station in the company.

I added the line
Service/Feature: public-ntwrk
Number Len: 10
Number Digits: 7248308007
Del: 10
Insert: 4122656604
Per Call CPN/BN: none

The problem is that the call still goes to the desk phone on the Avaya system and doesn't ring the hosted phone at all. Thoughts?

Would I be better off doing an Off PBX station mapping?

added the 9, still doesn't work. Rings the Avaya phone still.

I wonder if the CO isn't sending me all 10 digits, maybe only 7. Is there a way to check that?

make another entry for 7 digits to test then and are you sure you have the correct trunk group defined?

Also do a list trace tac to verify you hsave the correct trunk group the call is coming in on

We only have 1 trunk group for calling, three for paging and 1 for voicemail.

I texted our old phone admin and he said this won't work because our hosted provider isn't the same network as our existing provider. He recommended remote call forward instead.

Some providers send DID numbers across with 4 digits or 10 digits. All depends on how it was originally ordered. When I had an Avaya it was simply the last 4 digits of the DID. Your outbound call should include the 91 or whatever is needed to dial out. I think that's all you're missing.

Maintain HiPath 4000 V5 & V6, OpenScape Xpert V4, Xpressions, Contact Center

then make an entry in the incoming call route for 4 digits then and retest
