hello,<br>I want to migrate from outlook expres to lotus notes mail but I have many folders & messages in outlook; exists any possibilities (event script, add on, etc) to make this automatically?<br><br>thanks,<br>grig

first, make sure you upgrade to R5.02 or higher (5.01 has some migration problems with POP3). then make sure Outlook is installed with &quot;Corporate or Workgroup&quot; option selected, which will install MAPI interface. reinstall Outlook if neccessary. then run migration tool included with Notes R5 and convert PST and PAB files. all but Outbin and Trash folders should be copied.<br><br>another (IMO even better) option is to set up Notes client as a IMAP client and simply download mail from Exchange server. folders should download as well.<br><br>check out few third-party migration tools here:<br><br><A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> admins say they worth every penny.<br><br>hope this helps,<br>zr

It is not possible to migrate from Outook to Notes 5.0 as outlook does not support it. We migrated from Outlook to R4.6 and then from R4.6 to R5. We used the Binary Tree tool to migrate mail from Outlook to Notes.

I just added Lotus Notes support in Outlook as a Service.

Tools>Services>Add>Lotus Notes>OK

This will allow you to connect to the Lotus Server using Outlook. Outlook will do this automatically. You will then see a Lotus Notes Message Store section in your Outlook.

You can now just drag your Personal Folders into this new section and they will be transferred to Lotus Notes. It is time consuming if you have a lot of machines to do, but nothing esle is required. It worked fine for me, but I only did it on one machine.

when you install the lotus notes client software, and click customize, you should see an option called migration tools, did you look at those?

I thought I saw something about outlook inthere.
