Now I'm on OSX I have to decide whether I'm going to upgrade to Quark 6 or go the InDesign route. One particular job is a 60 page glossy brochure, Perfect bound, graphics intensive, which I have produced using Quark 5.5 OS9.
I have read and heard so many horror stories re Q/Xpress 6 that I would rather ditch Quark and move to InDesign. What sort of things must I look out for as I embark upon the learning curve. I will be starting on the next version of the mentioned brochure around November 04. I have a computer graphics set-up both at home and at an office so I need to install the same applications on both machines, using a hefty external drive to move my work between the two.
