I upgraded a site with an existing NT4 file server exchange server. I used the migration utility to move over users/groups and XCopy to move over the files/security on files.
When I did DCPROMO on the DC, it wouldnt allow me to use the same NetBios Name because it already existed on the old NT4 server.
Is there a way to change the NetBios name so that the old Nt4 workstation clients can continue to login with existing accounts/profiles? Is there something different I should have done during the migration? I dont want to have to go to each client (60 or so Nt4/Win2kPRO machines) to re-attach them to the new DC, and end up having to copy profiles.
