Currently our environment is runnng SAVCE 8.0 on number of servers with Windows NT and 2000. Now we need to upgrade some of the NAV servers to Windows 2003. I know that SAVCE 8.0 does not support Windows 2003, and we may need to upgrade to version 10.0.

Does anyone have such experince on SAVCE migration? Can we have mix of SAVCE 8.0 and 10.0 servers in the environment? Is there any offical document from Symantec talk about this?

Many Thanks for any input.

You can do that. You just need to make sure the primary server and SSC are the new version, not the old version. Also, you have to set the server to communicate with older versions, because they switched from UDP to SSH communication. Here's Symantec's document:
Managing legacy clients and servers with Symantec Client Security 3.0 and Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.0
