Finally after several months, my co. is ready to Upgrade versions of Accpac.

Currently we have

Accpac 5.2 with PervasiveSQL 8 for workgroup

and now we are going to move to

Accpac 5.3 for MSSQL

My question is very simple, and i am pretty sure the answer is not that simple. but:

What do i need to do in order to migrate the databases from pervasivesql to mssql?. Can i do it with data dump, data load?

I create a new company sys database and copany database in the new version then i do a data load from a dump previously done with the old version?

best regards

Dbdump/Dbload is how you do it, but do you have Accpac Lanpak licenses for MSSQL?

Hello,

I just thought I would send my opinion.

If the company is planning on upgrading, why would they still stay on an older Accpac version that is no longer supported by Accpac?

Sage Accpac currently only supports version 5.4 and 5.5.

Version 5.3 is no longer supported by Sage.

That's my point. You can't purchase MSSQL licenses for 5.3 anymore. If he doesn't have them, he can't do it.
