Hello friends,

We currently have 3 vg in an AIX 5.2 –based server. We are in the process of installing a new storage, and would like to have these 3 vgs consolidated in just one vg. Is there a way that we could do this easily and risk-free without having to re-create and restore all FS?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Drina

i'd use cplv. keeps your original around in case of disaster. once you have copied the lv, you can change the mount point for the filesystem and go from there.

Unless the filesystem has an inline log, you'll need to adjust the log file as well.
