Our division is slowly moving to an Exchange server, sort-of centrally managed by Group IT sort of under my own recognisance. So far, the transition is going smooth, except for the General Manager of our Division. He's been using Lotus Organiser in various versions since 1994.

Within it's contact management, there was the ability to link companies together, i.e. one of our suppliers uses Bob's Hauliage to get our stuff to us, so those two businesses are linked. Say he knows that the supplier is sending us something, but he wants the haulier to pick something else up on the way. He finds ther Supplier, follows the link to the haulier they use, through a Lotus link, and contacts the haulier directly. Is it possible to do something similar in Outlook, to say that companies have relationships with each other?

I think the "Business COntact Manager" does that.
Alas, if I'm not mistaken, it cannot be bought separately, it only ships as a component of certain Office packages such as "Business" or "Ultimate" in version 2007, and with "Pro with BCM" in 2003.
If you do have BCM as part of your package, you might give it a try.

I have a copy of BCM, will have to check it and see, Licensing restrictions are a pain in the neck, I think the sets with BCM are bios-locked to HP/Compaq OEM, and our bossman has a Sony.
