Hi all. This is my first post here so please bear with me. I'm a relatively new CM Admin, and I currently use 6.1.1.2000-3. We have a smaller VoIP system at one of our satellite offices with just under one hundred users with 12SP+ models, as well as a few 7940s and 7906s and Call Manager 4.0 Build 4.0(5).

I'm wondering what would be the easiest way to get them up to the same version we're using? Once the tech up there gets a server running with the new version of CM, what steps need to be taken in order to import all of the phone settings as smoothly as possible? Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where to look for this info?

Many thanks...

The Tech should run a DMA - i think which takes a "copy" for want of a better word of teh exisitng CCM and converts to 6.x version. However you wish to check whether any settign are not copied across i.e Speed Dials etc

the DMA will take everything, even speed dials.
about the only thing I ran into after the upgrade was the toll fraud but setting the correct css in Call Forward and Call Pickup Settings took care of that.

Hope this helps.

Actually DMA does not capture everything.
It ignores custom MOH files, background images as well as any customized xml files.
The rest is in there unless there is an error.
