Migrating to BO XI

Planning to migrate from CR & CE 8.5 to CE XI.
Is any document available and also I would like to know is that wise to upgrade from 8.5 to XI.

I installed CR XI Developer edition on my PC, which also has CR 8.5. So far I have not had any problems.

In my particular situation, CR 8.5 is installed under Seagate Software while CR 11 (it's called 11, not XI with my CD) is installed under Business Objects.

The only small problem I have is opening a Crystal Report under 8.5 from IE explorer. It defaults to CR 11 so I have to start (or double click on Cr 8.5) and then do a file->open

By the way, does anyone have Crystal Reports Server installed? I had a report that I compiled and used in CR 8.5. However, that option went away with CR 9. Anyway, I want to use infoview to start up the Crystal report the original version, not the compiled one). I was able to get it placed on InfoView. When I execute it, it prompts me for the parameters but it fails because database connectivity. Normally, I am asked to log into the database but I did not get the logon screen.

Any ideas?
