I created a report using Crystal Developer version 8.5
and copied it over to the enterprise server. I added it
to the ePortfolio, but when I click the report I am getting the following error:

"The report you requested requires further information."

Here are the specs:
Report connects to an Oracle database, I picked a single table and 2 columns to make the connectivity test very simple (I thought anyway). Upon entering my ID and password I get the error mentioned above. I just need someone to guide my on the right path to solve the problem. Thanks in advance

That message shows up for a number of items, database login, parameter lists etc. Scroll down, does it ask for more than just the database login?

The screen that I get shows as:

Database Logon - Prod (our production server)
Database Name - Prod
User ID = (editbox)
Password = (editbox)

I go ahead en provide my id and password and get the error.

It sounds like an issue with your report on the server, not with CE (just guessing here). Try opening and running the report with Crystal Reports physically from the server itself. At least you can narrow it down some. The only time I have gotten that message with no reasonable explaination was when I didn't have the database properly defined on the server itself.

Normally this is a DB connectivity issue.
Make sure the oracle client software on the server is configured correctly.

Also if using ODBC make sure the DSN is a system DSN

Another trick this one is kind of weird. Sometime the DSN information is case specific so in the report designer Check the DSN name in Database/Set Location Menu and then make sure it is the same as the ODBC info on your server
