Migrating Printers

I will be decomissionin the current print server and plan to using microsft print migrator.

What is the best way to ensure that users keep their current printers but on the new server?

If you are able to keep the server name and print queue share names the same, should not have a problem...

Hi, unfortunately the server name will be different.

Is it possible to script or use AD so that for users with a printer on \\oldserver, it is automatically changed to \\newserver?

If the new server is R2, why not use the built in print management and push out the printers with a GPO, and use a vbs script to remove the old ones?
