Hi Guys

Any thoughts on the process to migrate an existing MCD DB's on ISS to vMCD's. I will have 6 x ISS servers to convert to virtual, all are part of an existing cluster of 35 MCD's.(6 x ISS and 29 x MXe/CXII).

They are currently running on MCD5 SP2 PR2 but will be going to MCD6 before the convertion to virtual.

Thanks

NEver tried it my self. Check knowledge base to see if it was ever documented which I doubt. At the minimum you would need to eliminate any programming not supported on the vMCD ( embedded VM )Have you contacted Mitel product support?

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

The DB's should be directly swappable.

Coming from a 3300 Chassis, you are required to remove all analog devices directly associated with the 3300 chassis.

The ISS does not support analog. It is IP only the same as the vMCD.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Thanks guys.

So are we talking db save and restore into the vMCD then? Like you say, it's purely IP then.

I hope so!
