Hi all,
I am in the process of documenting a sonicwall firewall in preperation to move to a Cisco ASA 5510. I have been searching to see if there is an automated tool that can take the Sonicwall config and translate into cisco? I read that there is a cisco tool for checkpoint, but nothing on sonicwall. Does anybody know? documenting this is a pain and I want to make sure that I do not miss anything. Even if there are a few mistakes that is alright.

Thanks in advance

can you telnet or ssh to it and get a text config

Brent,
I have tried. Looking through the documentation, there are somethings that you can get through ssh, but it appears that you can not get the whole config. Unless Im missing something?

Thanks

Mel

Haven't worked with Checkpoint it a long time. It's best you document your network anyway. Find out the needs and see if anything has changed, delete superfluous config stuff.

You can have each dept. give you their needs and go from there.
