I need to migrate my 2003 VMware virtual DC and Exchange server to 2008 VMware virtual servers and was looking for some tips. I have seen using Robocopy or DFS. DFS looks like a pain, especially if I dont have a DFS Root server built.

Any suggestions or past experience?

Thanks

Simplest way, since you're already virtual, is to create a 2008 DC and simply retire the 2003 DC VM.

As for the Exchange you will have to build a new Exchange server and migrate the users.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

There are no more PDC's! There are DC's with FSMO roles!
