Hi

We are current re designing our network and at the moment for our mail server we are currently using Novell Groupwise. Now we want our new mail server to be on a windows 2003 machine running Mdaemon.

Is it possible to transfer from Groupwise to Mdaemon? I mean like all the users, accounts , files etc...

thanks heaps

Just looked it up. I am very surprised that anyone would trade in a full enterprise class collaboration package like GroupWise for a basic system that only supports the very limited protocols IMAP and POP.

Windows delivers solid performance from its feature-rich and user-friendly design, and supports IMAP, SMTP, and POP3 protocols
What is your main driving factor for switching? What version of GroupWise? I would imagine that you'll have to connect your users to Mdaemon with Outlook or other simple POP based mail client. Then also connect to GroupWise (GroupWise does support POP and IMAP, if you choose to limit yourself).. Then you could just move messages from one mailbox to the other, but it's a one on one type migration.
