Does anyone else have sticker shock over the cost of SQL Server 2016/2019? I'm running 2012 right now and there is no way i will be able to migrate to 2016/2019. Has anyone made the switch from MSSQL to mySQL? I've read several how-to's but was hoping to get first hand accounts. Any major pitfalls? I've read that security roles can't be migrated without manual intervention. But I've also read that this can be achieved using the MySQL Workbench Migration tool. Thanks!

What's your definition of "manual intervention"? [bigsmile] There's no magic button to instantly convert between systems. That's why Microsoft (or any other db vendor) has some confidence in its vendor lock-in and pricing.
