Hi everyone. I was wondering, currently our company is separating from our parent company and we plan on migrating our Exchange 2003 Mailboxes to Exchange 2007, but on a totally different network. Is it as easy as just moving the mailboxes or is there a completely different routine involved for this?

You can't move it to a totally different network. Exmerge is your friend.

When you describe the network design as ”a totally new network” do you mean a new domain in the same forest or new forest/ new domain?

You should be able to setup a temp trust relation between the 2 forests/domains and move the mailboxes over.

If you can link the networks then yeah sure, get a trust relationship going. I was assuming physical separated (not sure why) and that never the twain.
