We purchased a license for Exchange Server Enterprise 2007 (on the Open Value program) a couple of years ago as well as media kits for both Exchange Enterprise 2003 and 2007. We installed Exchange Enterprise 2003 then and are now looking to migrate to 2007. The 2003 media kit we received included both Exchange 2003 and a seperate CD with MS Outlook 2003. The Exchange Enterprise 2007 media kit is a single DVD with no sign of Outlook 2007. Does Exchange Enterprise 2007 not include Outlook 2007? That seem hard to believe.

That is correct. No free Outlook client with Exchange 2007.

That said, OWA 2007 is essentially Outlook 2007.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

Thanks for the clarification. This brings up a good point. What obvious advantages will my users realize if we upgrade to Exchange/Outlook 2007 from 2003?

Exchange: Performance, ease of recovery.
Outlook: greater collaboration, room booking, out of office expansion.

There are lots of advantages and if you already have the software and licences it would be a good plan to upgrade.
