In the near future (2 or 3 months) my company is wanting to migrate from 1.8 to XPe. I was just wondering what are the "best practices" for migrating to XP.

Does Citrix suggest a clean install or just upgrading the 1.8 box to XP? I have a test server and I just upgraded to XP and I did not encounter any issues. It kept all the policies that were already implemented and it didn't take long.

We have two farms, one for our US division and one for our Mexico division.

I know I will need to setup 2 DC one for each farm but I will only have on DS server.

Hopefully I can get some info out of anyone who has already
done this!
Thanks

My personal best practices are rebuild every time :)

However, I know of people who have successfully done the upgrade - and if it worked on your test server, then you can be fairly sure it will work live.

I would suggest that you build your test server to a production level - all apps, security settings, etc, so that you could use it if the upgrades do not go ahead smoothly.

I hope this helps
