Hi,

Can someone provide some insight on this issue...

Suppose I upload a report to a particular folder in Crystal Reports Server (or BOEXI). Users run the report for 6 months and create 6 instances. Now I want to make a change to the report. How do I 'replace' the old version with the new, with losing the historical instances? It seems that instances are attached to report objects.

Thanks!

I think you mean without losing historical instances...

From within Crystal Reports, select save as and in the lower left hand corner you'll see the Enterprise icon, click it and then overwrite your current report.

It will preserve the instances, and the scheduling, however you need to go back in to the CMC and set the database and parameters again.

Thanks k- I think that'll work.
