Here is the wierd scenerio we have here.First of all, it was all created by a former consultant. We have 2 domains. Domain A is Windows NT4.0 with 2 servers, one PDC and another BDC which is also a Exchange 5.5 server. Domain B is a Windows 2000 AD domain. All the Client computers are part of Domain B and all the users always logs into Domain B. There is no Trust between Domain A and B. The way users are accessing their mailboxes and getting authenticated to Domain A is that the PDC & BDC contains same users with same passwords in them so when a user logs into domain B and access the mailbox, since its the same password on Domain A, it works just fine(Do not ask HOW). Now My issue is that I want to Migrate Exchange 5.5 which is in Domain A to Exchange 2003 which I want to be in Domain B, so that I can get rid of Domain A once for all. Please Suggest how I should proceed, I know it can be possible but just need some good advice !! Thankyou in Advance

First you will have to create your Domain A users in Domain B. Build a new exchange server in Domain B and use exmerge to move the mailboxes between Domain A and B. Any public folders can be moved by exporting them to .PST files and importing them into the new Exchange system.

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

Thanx Norton, How about the permissions? I have to have an account in the Domain B who has access to access all the mailboxes from Domain A so that I can use that account to import to Domain B in one shot? Any suggestions....Also by using Exmerge, will it retain all the user permissions, Rules and stuuff??
