When importing email from OE 6 to Outlook 2003 I have been finding that the email dates are getting messed up. More than half of the emails are loosing their original received/sent date and show the date as being recevied/sent on the date the emails were migrated to outlook. Anybody know why, or how to stop it. This doesn't happen with each email.

Also from google:
Carey perhaps you could pass on to whoever wrote the instructions on that
site that there is a MAJOR flaw.
as we all know, Outlook works on "modified date". If the OP uses the Import
function in Outlook (as the site says) then ALL the "sent Items" at least
will have their date changed to the date of import. All the other mail will
have the Modified date changed to the date of Import.

the BEST way to do it is to actually export FROM OE to outlook. That keeps
all the dates correct.

Thanks for the response. I didn't realize there was an email forum. However, we just discovered the error of our ways, which is the same thing stated in the quote from Carey. If you export from OE instead of import via Outlook the dates will remain intact.

Thanks again,
