Hi there,
We have a web-based application, done with visual studio 6 (ASP with VB 6) and some Crystal Reports (Version 8.0) - using the Activex viewer to "see" the reports on WebPages.

Situation is that we need to migrate our servers OS to Windows 2003, but looks like Crystal version 8 is not compatible with this new OS.

The question would be :

+ Is there a trick to still use version 8.x on windows 2003 ?

+ In case we need to migrate to version 10 , do we need to migrate to advanced server version ?

+ Does anybody know of a paper that describes the changes that need to be done on the asp pages ?

Thanks for your help

Are you certain that CR 8 is the problem?

I know that CE 8.X has problems, but I hadn't heard that CR 8 did.

What does "but looks like Crystal version 8 is not compatible with this new OS." mean? In other words, how did you learn this?
