Migrate to PIX from other firewall

Currently have another firewall/box providing access to the web and email. I have installed a PIX and would like to concurrently run both boxes until I can move all of the users off the old one(it supports IP & IPX) . I have tried pinging out from the pix but I presume the ISP router has a route to the existing firewall and I get no response to ping's etc?
any suggestions or issues regarding this would be gratefully received

HI.

If you can make the change in a single phase and use same IP addresses for the PIX as the original FW, it can be a better way to go.

Just remember to reload the neigbour routers or clear their ARP cache in a different way (mapping of IP to MAC address).
