We have separate servers for our UCA 6 and MBG 7 and I'm looking to migrate these to a single MAS server. I'm looking for any tips and gotcha's that would help the transition go smoothly. Points that I'm worried about are:

A. The ARID's are separate at the moment, so would I have to group them or do anything with them.
B. Do I just install the MAS, license the server and do a backup and restore of each system. or am I looking at it too simplistcally?

Is MBG server-gateway or DMZ mode ?

I would do the following
Backup all servers

Order a base mas server and license it ( i think they are free)
Make sure ARID for mas is in same company as UCA And MBG ARid's
Shutdown existing Servers , in AMC move any user licenses from UCA and MBG arids to MAS Arid
Restore UCA Data to MAS
for MBG , i would do an export of devices and use those to import

MBG on MAS only works as Server- gateway mode so the IP addresses used for the WAN side of the mas need to be different to the LAN Side

Change Natting of any external URLS for UCA - to point at MAS Wan ( for Smart device connectivity )

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Agreed will need a new ARID for the MAS and the best that can be done is trying to move the users from the stand alone products.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Anyone else and you need to throw it harder.
