Hi There,

Any idea about how to migrate from old windows voicemailPro R4 to Server Edition

Your thoughts appreciated, and thanks in advance.

R4 to SE would be quite a leap of faith. You may be able to import the MDB, but that could be hit or miss. If it isn't something massive for an AA I would start from scratch. The users would be better off just rerecording their greetings.

I'm agree that users will do better to re-record their greetings. But how to migrate groups and Modules.

Your thoughts appreciated, and thanks in advance.

You can export the MDB file from the old one and import it to the new one. File/Import/Export.

but you have already said; "You may be able to import the MDB, but that could be hit or miss"

Yes I did. I don't lie to people. I haven't tried to migrate with that big of a difference between versions. You can give it a try either it will work or it won't. I have imported from R8 to 11 and it worked. The wav files I did have issues with. Linux uses a different file structure. I did write some FAQs for migrating from windows to Linux that might work. But they were written to migrate to App Server not SE. You could give that a shot.

This is what gives

Like I said... R4 to R11 is going to be a leap of faith.... Your best bet is to stare and compare and build it from scratch.
