Wonder if anyone has any ideas for the scenario below...
A customer, who currently has 3 windows 2003R2 x32 server's as dc's ( 2 in Oslo, Norway and 3rd in Denmark),All 3 servers belong to the same domain and wishes for a new server with Windows 2008r2 standard x64.Currently, Dfs-r is in use to replicate a 25GB folder between the 3 servers. I am clear about upgrading schema, transfering FSMO roles etc to the new 2008 dc ( have done that a few times!) but i wish to know how would i go about transfering Dfs root and folders to the new server. The server that currently holds this role will not be retired in the new future and is hoped it can still be part of the Dfs-r system. (will retire the server in Oslo that is not root)All suggestions and thoughts are most welcome!
Many thanks for taking the time to read this
