I have a MICS 7.1 with a PRI. At night, the client forwards to cell phones, their DID numbers. The client wants to preserve the inbound caller ID and pass it as the Outbound Line ID, to the “forwarded cell phone number”. Example: originating number is 415-853-1212 calling DID 408-853-9001. DID 408-853-9001 is redirected to client cell number 209-853-9999. Client wants to see originating number 415-853-1212 on their cell phone. The carrier will allow any number to be sent as OLI.

What is needed in programming on the MICS to allow this number to be passed on redirected calls?

Sorry but this CLID pass-through feature you are looking for is not supported on a MICS, you would need to go to a BCM 50 or 450 5.0 software or higher.
You also need to get your Telco to allow the BCM to send out CLID numbers that are not part of your DID bank, this is an issue for 911 calls.

killow, check with your telco because this should be hapenping now unless telco blocks that inofrmation and puts in the customer information. We have mulitiple MICS's out there and all of them pass the originating caller id as long as telco allows. There is nothing in the Norstar programming you can do to change this.

Thanks Hawks,

I have another MICS, same customer, different location the passes the Cell number ID. Same carrier. The Carrier says the two sites are identical, but obviously they are not the same.
