I have an existing MICS that is DR5.0 that we put a Norstar VoIP gateway on. It is talking to a network of 3 BCMs over VoIP trunking. We can get calls in and out of the MICS via the VoIP network, however if a call comes into the MICS, we are unable to transfer that caller to a BCM set over the network. I see an option in the Norstar VoIP gateway for call transfer via H.450, but it is apparently not supported by the BCM. Any hints on how to make this work?

You mean a codec issue? It would suprise me if the BCM wouldn't support one that a MICS would.

Codec isn't really the issue I don't think. When the MICS phone set sends a transfer, they get an error back "Denied in Admin". Our support line says that indicates that the capability of "allow redirect" needs to be turned on, but my tech says he already has that feature on. Still stumped...

Has he allowed redirect on all sets? Regrettably, I haven't had to implement this configuration yet, but noone else was posting.

I'll dig through some manuals.

Are you able to perform an external trunk to trunk transfer on your other co's?

in capabilities for each set, you need allow redirect set to Y on all sets. It doesnt sound like that is done
